I loved your quote “Your first line needs to be as unique and catchy as your unique story.” It’s such an important reminder to really focus on making the biggest impact possible with your first line. I love the idea of going on amazon to see opening lines from other books to get ideas. Thanks for all your tips!

  2. Thank you for your insight into reading for comp titles! I found it really helpful to see that you comped a NF book as well as a fiction for your book. It really has me thinking about the comp titles for my MG in a new way!

  3. Thanks Amy for this insightful discussion on reading for comp titles. It was really helpful for me to see that you comped both a NF and a fiction for your fictional YA. I will definitely be rethinking some of my comps for my MG contemporary!
